CVIA stands for Computer Vision for Industry and Aerospace.

The group focuses on machine vision problems arising in aerospace and industrial applications, with sustained work in 3D spatial intelligence, industrial machine vision, intelligent processing of remote-sensing imagery, and image/video compression.

CVIA follows a research philosophy in which problems are distilled from engineering practice and results are validated in real deployment. Through collaborations with institutes under major national organizations and with industrial partners such as Huawei, HONOR, Siemens, Netflix, and Samsung, the group turns engineering pain points into research questions, develops algorithms, and supports system-level deployment.

The team currently consists of six faculty members. We warmly welcome researchers and students who share similar interests to join us and push machine vision innovation forward together.
